User Classes
Restricted
Requirements: Failing to make it out of ratio watch.
Privileges: CANNOT download/upload. May only seed torrents from their snatch list. Most functions of the site are disabled. Cannot invite new users.

User
Requirements: None. This is the default user class when first signing up. Members get demoted to User if their ratio falls below 0.65.
Privileges: Can download/upload. Cannot invite new users.

Member
Requirements: 10GB uploaded. Has been a member of the site for more than a week and ratio above 0.7.
Privileges: Can use invites, notifications, set a forum signature, access the Top 10 and edit the Knowledge base.

Power User
Requirements: 25GB uploaded, uploaded 5 torrents, has been a member of the site for 2 weeks or more and ratio above 1.05.
Privileges: Same as Member + advanced Top 10, can view torrent snatched list, delete tags and access the advanced user search. Receives a new invite once per month (up to a maximum of 10 available invites).

Donor
Requirements: Donated to the tracker of any amount.
Privileges: Our eternal love. Has same rights as Power Users + can submit requests for free, add torrents to recommendation list and invite users when invites are closed.

VIP
Requirements: Undisclosed.
Privileges: Same as Donor + can send unlimited invites, make own torrents freeleech and remove tags from torrents.

Super VIP
Requirements: Undisclosed. Much more difficult to achieve than VIP.
Privileges: It's a secret.

User

Welcome! You can upload and vote on requests.
Default class for new members. Downloading disabled if ratio has remained below 0.70 for two weeks.

Member

You're one of us now. (One of us!) You can access Top 10, submit requests, add bookmarks, and edit your own uploads.
Must have been a member for two (2) weeks, have an average seeding size of at least 10 GB, and maintain a ratio of 0.80.

Fanatic

OMG, you're our biggest fan. You can access the Notifications system, the Invites forum and the site log, and you are immune to being disabled for inactivity.
Must have been a member for four (4) weeks, have an average seeding size of at least 50 GB, and maintain a ratio of 1.00.

Actor

You finally got your big break! You can access the Advanced Top 10 and manage Montages.
Must have been a member for eight (8) weeks, have an average seeding size of at least 100 GB, and maintain a ratio of 1.20.

Director

You get to call the shots. You can vote on the Movie of the Week, access the MotW channel in IRC, and search torrents by release group.
Must have been a member for twelve (12) weeks, have an average seeding size of at least 250 GB, and maintain a ratio of 1.50.

Producer

You're rich enough to dodge taxes now. You can make requests with no tax, gift upload credit to other users, and edit your custom title.
Must have been a member for twenty (20) weeks, have an average seeding size of at least 500 GB, and maintain a ratio of 2.00.

Archivist

Shares in Seagate & Western Digital? Check. You share so much data that you're bending ratio rules backward.
Must have been a member for twenty (20) weeks, have an average seeding size of at least 2 TB, and maintain a ratio of 1.50.


Uploader

You get all the perks of Teh Producer, plus some secret ones that we can't discuss here. TL,DR: "damn it feels good to be a gangsta."
Assigned by staff to users who upload frequently and provide consistently good release descriptions and rule-abiding content. To apply for this class, you must have been a member for at least eight (8) weeks and uploaded at least 20 torrents. To keep this class once you have it, you must maintain an average rate of upload of at least 25 torrents per month (averaged over up to three months).

Encoder

You know your way around x264. You can access the Encoders Lounge forum and mark your uploads as "TC Original".
Assigned by staff to users who have proven themselves knowledgeable and experienced in the art of encoding. Do not ask for this status; we will seek you out when it is time.

Executive Producer

You know the ins and outs of this business already; time to don a fancy title and help the next generation.
Assigned by staff to users who contribute something very special to the site. Do not ask for this status; we will seek you out when it is time.

Director of Torrentography (DoT)

Your OCD is your best quality. You help make sure uploads abide by the rules and that they have correct release information, posters and trailers.
Assigned by staff to promising young recruits. Do not ask for this status; we will seek you out when it is time.

Legend

Considered an important person in TC's history. Immune to automatic demotion. Can send unlimited invites.
Assigned by staff to users, normally former staff or DoTs, who have contributed a huge amount of time and effort to help make TC a better place. Do not ask for this status; we will seek you out when it is time.

Community Staff

Can send unlimited invites.
Must have proof that you are staff at a respectable tracker.

  HD Internal		Same access like HD Alien. Plus Golden Status for the uploaded torrents.
  V.I.P.		Has donated money to HD-Space.org. Access to HD Spacer and HD Astronaut extras and are immune to automatic demotion. Immune for the Hit n Run System and Low Ratio System.
  Uploader		Access to HD Spacer and HD Astronaut extras. May upload and download any torrents.
  Elite Uploader		Same access like Uploader. (for now)
  Forum Moderator		Can moderate forum posts, user comments and the shoutbox.
  Moderator		Can edit and delete any uploaded torrents. Can also moderate user comments.
  Administrator		Can do just about anything.

  HD Spacer		Must have been uploaded at least 100GB and have a ratio at or above 1.05. The promotion is automatic when these conditions are met. Note that you will be automatically demoted from this status if your ratio drops below 0.95 at any time.
  HD Astronaut		Must have been uploaded at least 500GB and have a ratio at or above 2.25. The promotion is automatic when these conditions are met. Note that you will be automatically demoted from this status if your ratio drops below 2.05 at any time.
  HD Alien		Must have been uploaded at least 2 TB and have a ratio at or above 4.25. The promotion is automatic when these conditions are met. Note that you will be automatically demoted from this status if your ratio drops below 4.05 at any time.
  HD Internal		Release your own bluray images, remuxes and encodes on HD-Space.
  V.I.P.		Just Donate and Send us all details .
  Uploader		After you upload 20 torrents ask staff to make you.
  Elite Uploader		Permanent Elite Uploader status is granted to users who have uploaded more than 100 torrents, 20TB and have a ratio higher than 7. 1 month temporary Elite Uploader status is granted to the 5 users who uploaded the most torrents in the past 30 days.

Pass The Popcorn PTP

User Class
Users can only transcend classes if they are not warned. If you fall below the requirements of your current user class, you will be demoted to the class below. Inactivity pruning occurs if you do not login for 3 months unless your user class is immune.
Only checked uploads count towards your upload amount, that is, your number of uploaded torrents, not the data you actually upload to other users (be patient and someone will get to it).
Please note that the torrent checking is done by hand, and thus it may take a while for your uploads to get checked (especially during contests, with high volume of uploads). Also, please note that the script runs a few times a day, so it may take a little bit for your user class to be upgraded after your torrents have been checked. Whilst you're waiting, you should just go and enjoy a film or two.

User
Requirements: The default class for new users.
Privileges: Can upload and download torrents.

Member
Requirements: Must have been a member for at least a week, have at least 40 GiB of upload, and a ratio of at least .80.
Privileges: Can create requests.

Power User
Requirements: Must have been a member for at least 4 weeks, have at least 80 GiB of upload, and a ratio above 1.05. They must also upload at least 1 torrent.
Privileges: Can access notifications, as well as the Power User and Invite forums. Can also create new collections. They may purchase invites from the bonus store, as well as send points to other users. They are immune to inactivity pruning.

Elite
Requirements: Must have been a member for at least 10 weeks, have at least 500 GiB of upload, and a ratio above 1.05. They must also have at least 50 torrents uploaded.
Privileges: Can access the Elite forums and edit unchecked torrents.

Torrent Master
Requirements: Must have been a member for at least 16 weeks, have at least 1 TiB of upload, and a ratio above 1.05. They must also have at least 200 torrents uploaded.
Privileges: Can access the Torrent Master forums. They also receive 2 invites a month which can be used even after the user limit has been reached.

Torrent King
Requirements: Must have been a member for at least 24 weeks, have at least 5 TiB of upload, and a ratio above 1.05. They must also have at least 500 torrents uploaded.
Privileges: These users are allowed to create personal collections to feature on their profiles. They're also given the privilege of double posting and starting polls in the forum. They have unlimited search and log results.

"Custom Class"
Requirements: Must have been a member for at least 36 weeks, have at least 10 TiB of upload, and a ratio above 1.05. They must also have at least 1000 torrents uploaded.
Privileges: Choosing their own class title (subject to staff approval).
Notes: The promotion to this class isn't automatic, you must send a staff PM.

VIP
Requirements: These are users selected as being very important to the tracker by staff. You're all important, they're just very important.
Privileges: Access to the VIP forums and unlimited invites.

Legend
Requirements: Former staff members of PassthePopcorn.
Privileges: Same as VIP.

Torrent Celebrity
Requirements: Staff from other trackers who have been selected or approved by PTP staff.
Privileges: Same as VIP.


Staff:
Assistant Directors - These staff members dedicate their time keeping the content of the torrent descriptions as accurate as possible. They also assist members who need help with account issues or any other site-related issues.
Developers - Developers deal with maintaining the code, database, tracker, and all the technical aspects that go along with running the site.
Directors - Directors deal with assisting all staff and deal with user account issues.
Producers - Producers deal with all issues but focus on internal site issues.

KaraGarga

What are the different user classes?

User The default class of new members.
Power User This title given by KG according to share ratio.
Librarian Given to users who contribute by filling reseed-requests.
Bounty-Hunter Given to users who fill a considerable amount of requests.
Donator.

Extreme User Must have been be a member for at least 60 days, have uploaded at least 60GB and have a ratio at or above 2.05. The promotion is automatic when these conditions are met. Five invitations are given upon promotion to Extreme User.

Note that you will be automatically demoted from this status and your invites removed if your ratio drops below 1.95 at any time.
