Require no VPN for Tracker "interview"??

I was browsing some different trackers for audio books and came across MyAnonamouse. I thought it was strange that for their invite process they have the following rule:

    2. No VPNs, proxies, mobile IPs, or public wi-fi IPs are permitted in the interview. You must be on your primary home IP for the initial registration.

Anyone know why this is the case? Is it just to prevent account sharing? Why do they care as long as the ratio is maintained? It seems like a breach in privacy / security to require this.

    Thanks for any insights!

    hi @torinv793ba2f
a lot of trackers dont allow using VPN while signing up or for application sign up & interview. they wanna see ur real IP thats their reason
I recommend to sign up without using VPN on any tracker so there's no chance for getting banned
btw MAM is a great tracker for ebooks audio book its easy to pass the interview as well.

    hey @TheAquarius,

But why do they want to see your "real" IP? Thanks for the recommendation, I'll check it out this weekend.

they wanna see ur IP so they can allocate the passkey PID for that specific IP & if a user break any rules or create duplicates accounts they can banned the IP easily.
