First of all, have a look at our tracker list here and choose the eLearning subcategory where you will find a lot of trackers each with their own ratings/levels and reviews.

eLearning is a very broad category so you need to specify what exactly you are after, like ebooks, audiobooks, documentaries etc. There are quite a few that specialise in a particular elearning niche. For example,
Bibliotik - eBooks
MyAnonamouse - Audiobooks (some ebooks)
ScienceHD - Documentaries
StopThePress - Magazines

Then you have your broader more general eLearning trackers that cover a lot of different topics like BitMe, BitSpyder, TheGeeks and Elbitz.

I find it hard to determine which one is a must have or better than the others, as each have their own merits and demerits. My suggestion is to get them all

When it comes to software, Windows content gets uploaded everywhere but if you are after Mac, BrokenStones is your best choice.

P.S. These are the trackers I'm familiar with there are a lot more.

bitspyder and bitme are very good trackers for learning.
