Maybe they do not have the servers in HongKong but they have old Demonoid database!!
They could be the real staff, some anti-piracy organisation or the guy who bought the database from the old demonoid owner

Probably if you log in, you will receive a lot of spam..

there ARE a few of the original team there.
there were a bunch(about ten) people who did moderation of torrents and deleted porn, infected torrents, scam torrents and fakes.
These guys were NOT full admins bar two of them.
two of the guys are of the mod team and one was a full admin.
this is how they got access to the database.
what is strange to note is that there have been no uploads since the 9th May.
Now my former colleague is telling me over and over again that this is legit, and i do find that eases my fears however there is still a part of me that alarm bells are ringing in tbh.
considering the circumstances of it;s demise could it be that perhaps on some level , like admiral Ahkbar said "it's a trap!"
Also of note is that i had 4 accounts there. 3 normal downloader accounts and 1 other one.
the other one is obviously gone... but of the downloader ones.. only the two with the highest throughput(most activity) are left there.
Also of all my friends that had accounts there, only the ones with the same "profile" are still able to log in.

my main account had 34 torrents up and 1.8TB up and 1.5TB down and the other one still up had 800GB up and 750GB down.
what are other people's stats (if you remember) as it would be interesting to see if it's only the big users accounts that are still there??

I've checked this out and out of most of the accounts I had the ones with small buffer never got an email to activate again, think how much money they would generate if they went after members with a big buffer.

So this is really a new Demonoid or its a fake site to track people IP?

That's the million dollar question, only time will tell.

It's highly improbable that authorities are running a copy of an old tracker to get IPs. Just my 2 cents

Yeah Demoniod had a huge data base of users, I think this would be like gold to certain people looking to monitor bittorent activities.
I think invites and accounts should be banned on TI just to be on the safe side.

We dont have to activate its actvated , new site sucks do much stuff and its alexa rank is 77000 whereas demonoid wan in top 100 sites
