Can you survive on privates trackers without a seedbox?

    Hi guys,

I was wondering if without a seedbox, you can keep a good ratio?
For now, i do ok. i download freelech torrent and try to not download everything i see(want).

in the long terms, i think a seedbox will be necessary.

    what do you think?

    Not quite necessary.
It actualy depends which torrent tracker are you using or what`s your internet speed.
If you keep up without a seedbox, you don`t have to buy one(only if you want a huge Ratio or many Bonus Points).

If you still want to buy a seedbox, I recommend you seedboxes.cc!

I agree with above.. it really comes down to your internet and the trackers you are using. If you use something popular like IPT and TD then you’d be fine without a seedbox and I did a good 4 years with just a home connection with no problems.

The bonus of a seedbox is faster download, faster upload and you can leave torrents seeding for longer.

I have a 240/20 cable connection and I "survive" in various trackers, include IPT and TL. My PC is 24/7 on, always seeding files do trackers. I love share content with the people, and 2,5MB/s of upload is fine for me. Eventually I sign 1 month of seedhost.eu seedbox. One "gas" on my trackers (20~30MB/s of upload). But I´m from Brazil and Euro is much expensive to buy this type of service here. Usually I take my PC 24/7 online and up much at 2,5MB/s. Someday I subscribe a FTTH connection with 200+Mbps of upload, but actually the fastest ISP of my city offers cable modem service 240Mbps download and 20Mbps upload (I have this plan and I love it).

Can you survive on privates trackers without a seedbox?
    Definitely YES!....but
    1. Only if that tracker have Bonus Points. Some examples are:
WorldofP2P, FileList, MAM, IPT, TD, JPopSuki, TL, Nostalgic, Redtopia, losslessclub, ICETorrent...etc
    2. The tracker is ratioless like CGPeers, ICETorrent and other that i dont know of.

    3. You have a super fast home connection

Yeah but it depends on the level of tracker, I used to survive very easy and probably could now if i had ipt or tl trackers again anything with bonus points is pretty chill. what.cd was easy to upload too if you. Any of the low level trackers "3-5" and music trackers of 10 years ago you could compete.

Once I got up to Sceneaccess and scenelife and those level 7+ trackers, you couldn't compete as a regular user without a nice fiber connection or something. Some trackers are just made to rss to your seedbox or top tier connection to boost your ratio, not viable to lurk around for a single torrent that you know you could get 5-10 your ratio ime.

    I've learnt to cross-seed, that's something.

Unless you want really high level trackers, you will have no real problem. If you can commit to seeding everything for at least 2-4 weeks 24/7, leave your pc on overnight, you can even get fantastic ratios with your private connection. At the entry level like IPT/TL, the only people who have ratio problems are people who download 50+ GB in their first week on a new tracker without paying attention, or those who try and HNR or underseed.

There is an exception however. In an environment where most other users are using seedboxes, it can be hard. I have found it is much easier to gain ratio by cross-seeding on high level trackers - you just hunt for torrents available where you have good ratio, and point the new tracker to the files. As long as you are patient and don't expect to immediately download huge amounts, you don't really need a seedbox.

Get a seedbox IF any of the following apply:
-You have a huge desire to boost your ratio
-You want to put less time into managing your ratio
-You want to quickly build a massive library of torrented files, and have tons of storage.

I'm now on a good tracker with a lot of freeleecht. Downloaded 40 torrents of no interest to me just to get good ratio. After a few weeks i will delete them and start downloading the content i want.
You have to be patient and try to let your pc running as long as possible. Tracker without freeleech would be difficult for me i think downloading from home ...
