Is anyone else having issues with chinahdtv.org over the last few days? The webpage is fine but I am getting the "Tracker: [Couldn't connect to server]� message. I have tried the usual logout clean cookies re-download the torrent file with no joy. Some of the torrents have single user still active and are uploading.

From the recent news page I can tell something is going on. I think they have moved servers from Gao Qingwang to the US which seems a bit odd to me. Unfortunately there is no English forum and both Google Translate and Babel Fish are doing a piss poor job I can’t quite work it out. E.g.

Google:-“from now on, any person who publishes Jurisprudence resources, a rate of titles dealing with, and never re-opened!� err ok!

Bable Fish:- “starting from today, anybody issue fords the yellow resources, a rate title processing, never de-archives!� umm fortunately for me I don’t own a yellow Ford

I’d be interested if anyone could confirm they to have an issue or knows what’s going on.

I found the problem for anyone who is interested. It’s the German DNS blocking issue. In January Germany started blocking sites like Demonoid from resolving on German ISP DNS servers. Anyone in Germany can get round it by using Googles 8.8.8.8 DNS or just use the IP address and not the URL. It looks like chinahdtv.org was added to the list a few days ago. As the seedbox I was using was in Germany the torrents stopped working. So just editing the tracker details and replacing the URL with the IP and all the torrents are now working.
