Of Saturday's four College Football Playoff "play-in" games, the Big Ten championship carried the most potential to turn everything upside down.

No. 4 Wisconsin's playoff hopes likely rest in its ability to beat No. 8 Ohio State for the title (8 p.m. ET, Fox), therein silencing the strength-of-schedule critics with a perfect 13-0 record for the first time in school history. But J.T. Barrett and Co. aren't expected to go quietly, if the Buckeyes quarterback plays at all.

Barrett's status for the game is in question after undergoing arthroscopic surgery Sunday to remove a piece of torn cartilage in his right knee.

On Thursday, Urban Meyer said Barrett has been cleared to play, and he's considered probable. But he didn't practice all week and Ohio State fans will wait with bated breath until they know for sure after Barrett takes the field for warmups. It's not certain if or how much he'll play, but backup Dwayne Haskins performed well in Barrett's absence against Michigan and shouldn't be discounted if he's called into action again.

One thing is certain: An Ohio State (10-2) win would throw the playoff debate into chaos.
