The Green Crocodiles defeated the Blue Flame at the Timsah Arena and the 24-year-old has praised the club’s supporters for sticking by them
Bursaspor defender William Troost-Ekong has hailed the club fans following their 2-1 win over Karabukspor in Sunday’s Turkish Super Lig clash.
Aziz Behich gave the hosts the lead in the 12th minute before Baris Basdas’ own goal on the stroke of half-time doubled the advantage for Paul Le Guen’s side.

Mustapha Yatabare pulled one back for the visitors in the 81st minute but the Green Crocodiles held on for their sixth league win of the season.

And the Nigeria international, on for the entire duration of the encounter, lauded their fans for their support throughout the game via his social media page.

“Three points! Thanks for the support,” Troost-Ekong wrote on Twitter.
“Onto the cup game Wednesday.”

The win saw Bursaspor climb the fifth spot in the Turkish Super Lig standings, eights points behind leaders Galatasaray.

Troost-Ekong has been a regular feature in Paul Le Guen’s side so far this season, playing in all 13 games in the Turkish top-flight.
And the Nigeria international will be looking to help the Green Crocodiles grab a positive result when they visit the Adana 5 Ocak Stadium to trade tackles with Adanaspor in the fifth round of the Turkish Cup on Wednesday
