When is the NIT? Participants, bracket, schedule for 2018 National Invitation Tournament

The 2018 National Invitation Tournament begins Tuesday March, 13, and runs through Thursday, March 29.

The field is made up of the 32 best teams that failed to make the 2018 NCAA Tournament; the bracket was revealed after the NCAA Tournament Selection Show. Tournament snubs such as Southern California, Saint Mary's, Notre Dame, Oklahoma State and Louisville will take part in the 2018 NIT.

The 2018 tournament will feature experimental rules including an extended 3-point line and widened lane area. The most notable experimental change will be that games will be played in four 10-minute quarters rather than two 20-minute halves.
