THE Tigers have signed Roosters big man Ryan Matterson on a three-year deal from 2019.

Matterson has established himself as a forward of some talent for the Tricolours but will head to the Tigers with the view of scoring a permanent first grade spot.

Equally capable on the edge or in the middle, Matterson will aim to score a starting spot in the pack at Concord.

“Ryan is a talented young man and we’re very pleased to have him join the club next season,” said Tigers coach Ivan Cleary.

“He has developed in to a quality forward since his debut and we’re looking forward to seeing him grow further at Wests Tigers over the next three years.”

Matterson has played 57 NRL matches since he made his top grade debut against the Dragons in 2014.

He’ll play a part in the Roosters premiership charge before departing the club.
