THREE of West Coast’s grand final heroes have recommitted to the club, including a pair of defenders on long-term extensions.

Tom Barrass and Tom Cole will each be Eagles until at least the end of 2022 after adding three years to the final year on their existing contracts next season.

It comes as tagger Mark Hutchings triggered a one-year extension due to his impressive 2018 form, locking in the 27-year-old for 2019.

Eagles list manager Brady Rawlings described the trio as pivotal to the club’s success.

“Mark Hutchings played some key roles for us through the midfield this season, including in the grand final,” he said.

“He is highly respected by his teammates and the wider club and it is terrific that he has activated a clause that ensured he would continue with the club in 2019.

“Tom Barrass and Tom Cole are both exciting young talents who were important to our success in 2018, so it’s very pleasing to have them commit to the club at this early stage until the end of the 2022 season.

“We believe there is plenty of growth in both guys both on field and in the leadership space moving forward.”
