The Germany international says the lack of clarity surrounding the Spanish coach's future is having no effect on the players

Thomas Muller says the Bayern Munich players are not worried about the uncertainty surrounding Pep Guardiola's future.

The Spanish coach's contract at the Allianz Arena expires at the end of the season and he says an announcement over his future will be announced in the near future, though Goal understands he will depart the German side in the summer and be replaced by Carlo Ancelotti.

And Muller says the lack of clarity on how long the two-time Bundesliga winning manager remains has had no effect on the team so far.

"We don't care about that," he told Sky. "We want to win everything this season, no matter how long it takes with the coach's contract.

"I do not know whether he will renew in the end, but if he doesn't then it does not matter. Jupp Heynckes also did this in 2012-13 and we won the treble that year."

Borussia Dortmund's 2-1 defeat to Koln on Saturday allowed Bayern to move eight points clear at the top of the Bundesliga with a 1-0 victory over Hannover, though Muller insists it was not an easy win.

"It was clear that we would not receive gifts here," he said. "It was a fight until the end and we did not have many players.

"It wasn't a spectacular victory, but it feels great if you give all and get rewarded."

Goalkeeper Manuel Neuer added: "We could have had it much easier, if we had taken our chances in the first half."
