Nothing seems to phase Taylor Hall and his fiery offensive game.

Within the last week New Jersey's left winger has twice been the subject of nasty hits to the head, yet Hall has recorded at least one point in each of his last 15 games.

After scoring a game-tying goal in the first period on Tuesday, a hit from Philadelphia defenseman Radko Gudas forced Hall to leave the game.

New Jersey's players, front office and fans held their breath through the entire second period until Hall returned in the third. He tied things up with less than two minutes left in the period and led the Devils to a 4-3 shootout victory.

After the game, Hall shared his thoughts on the hit and said he thought it was clean, according to NHL.com's Dan Rosen.

Exactly one week prior to the hit from Gudas, Hall was punched and kneed in the helmet multiple times by Ottawa's Alex Burrows. The Senators forward was suspended 10 games for the incident that the NHL Department of Player Safety called a "dangerous and unjustified attack."

A Calgary native and first round draft pick in 2010, Hall's resiliency and grit is difficult to ignore. He leads New Jersey in every scoring category with 23 goals, 36 assists and 59 points on the season. Beyond the numbers, Hall has proven himself to be an emotional leader on the team that he's able to put on his back night after night.

There's been lingering discussion of Hall's case as a Hart Trophy contender. Going off the league's criteria as "player judged most valuable to his team," the impact of Hall's presence during Tuesday night's game speaks volumes
