Struggling Valencia have signed former Barcelona midfielder Seydou Keita and loaned out three forwards.

Valencia say Keita will play for the club until the end of the season - with an option to extend - if he passes his medical. Keita has been playing with Chinese club Dalian Aerbin.

The Mali midfielder helped Barcelona win 14 trophies in four seasons.

Valencia also loaned out Colombia striker Dorlan Pabon, Portugal striker Helder Postiga and Mexico forward Andres Guardado on Thursday.

The Spanish club, which is 10th in the league, says Brazilian side Sao Paulo has agreed to take Pabon on loan until the end of next season.

Postiga will move to Lazio and Guardado joins Bayer Leverkusen. Both deals are contingent on standard medical exams.
