FANS have been captured on film fighting in the stands during last night’s Port Adelaide - Essendon clash in the latest disturbing crowd brawl.

Footage has emerged of two rival fans scrapping and punching in front of shocked onlookers in the Adelaide Oval’s Southern Stand.

A number of videos were posted to Instagram as the fight got out of control despite pleas from nearby supporters for it to stop.

A comment on one of the videos posted suggested security took more than five minutes to arrive after being called, by which time the fight had broken up.

Police are investigating the incident.

It follows a string of similar crowd scraps across the league this season, including one between Port Adelaide and Geelong supporters at the same venue in April.

Cats and Demons fans traded blows in the outer at GHMBA Stadium last month, while Magpies and Saints supporters also squared off in May.
