Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang will not leave Borussia Dortmund this summer, according to the forward’s father.

The Gabon international joined the German club from St Etienne last summer and scored 13 goals in 32 Bundesliga games in the 2013/14 season.

However, the 23-year-old has been linked with a move to Italian club Roma after just one season at Dortmund.

But the former AC Milan youth-team player’s father has insisted that he will be staying at the Signal Iduna Park for the 2014/15 campaign.

“There is no truth in those rumours,” Pierre Aubameyang told Sport-BILD. “My son will carry on at Borussia Dortmund.

“He likes it at the club and the club did a lot to help him settle. No one from Dortmund has told us that they are out to sell my son - much to the opposite.

“I am making sure that he is taking advices from his bosses to his heart.”
