“IT’S coming home.”

Those are the magical words resonating among English football fans the world over after the Three Lions cemented their spot in the World Cup quarter-finals.

England faced a tough task against Colombia in the round of 16, prevailing on penalties.

Thousands of videos have emerged showing fans celebrating the moment Eric Dier scored his spot-kick.

However, you’d be forgiven for thinking they’d won the whole tournament after watching one diehard fan’s hilarious antics in Middlesbrough.

In the footage, a number of people can be seen tensely watching the final moments of the shootout.

England score the penalty and the crowd erupts into chaos with flags being waved and shirts and beers being tossed.

One man didn’t stop at his shirt though, emerging from the crowd with a gallop-like dance before running off on his own swinging his shirt above his head.

The short clip was posted to BBC Sport’s Facebook page on Thursday morning and has since been viewed nearly half-a-million times.

“England overcoming their own shortcomings gave him courage,” said one user, poking fun at the streaker.

And while football may be coming home, that bloke probably hasn’t.
