9,958 people. 9.58 seconds. 95 on his back. Some very familiar numbers keep appearing in Usain Bolt’s life. And they showed up again in tonight’s game.

A staggering 9958 fans turned up to show their support for Usain Bolt in his first hit out as a footballer.

But that eerie figure shares the exact same numbers as his 100m world record time of 9.58 seconds.

Bolt also wore the number 95 on his back to pay homage to his record speed, which still stands today.

The number clearly means something to the eight-time Olympic gold-medallist, but having exactly 9958 people fill the Central Coast Stadium is nothing short of freaky.

Bolt ultimately came on in the 70th minute, and had a golden opportunity to bag a goal on his debut just before the final whistle.

While there’s room for improvement, the 32-year-old’s confidence clearly isn’t lacking, and the Gosford faithful were loving every second of it.
