Stanford running back and 2017 Heisman runner-up Bryce Love is returning for his senior season, his father told The San Francisco Chronicle.

Love led the Pac-12 and was second in the nation with 2,118 rushing yards and scored 19 touchdowns. His 8.1 yards per rush set an FBS record.

Love was considered by many as the second-best running back eligible for the NFL Draft in April behind Penn State’s Saquon Barkley.

But instead of going pro, Love will look to join Troy Davis (Iowa State, 1995-1996) as the only players in FBS history with multiple 2,000-yard rushing seasons.
