South Australia’s charge towards a national under-19 cricket title has ended after Queensland on Wednesday put on an imposing total one of the semi-finals in Adelaide’s parklands.

Queensland helped itself to 9/299 from its allotted 50 overs and SA never looked like catching it, being all bowled out in the 35th over for just 116.

Opener Bailey Capel was the pick of the batsmen with 36 but it fell away dramatically after that with nobody else being able to pass the 20-run mark.

The Queenslanders, in contrast, had three players making half centuries with Angus Lovell and Lachlan Prince both totting up 82 runs.
