Shaun Marsh will be sent for scans after reporting hamstring soreness during the Perth Scorchers’ Big Bash League clash against Brisbane at the Gabba.

The veteran batsman suffered the injury while running between wickets and won’t take any further part in the match.

It’s a major concern for the 35-year-old, who has a history of hamstring and back issues.

Marsh struggled with the bat for the second game in a row, making just two runs before hitting a simple catch straight to Matt Kuhnemann at extra cover off mystery spinner Mujeeb Ur Rahman in the second over.

He looks in massive doubt to get up for Perth’s final home game of the season against the Melbourne Stars at Optus Stadium on Sunday.

More to come.
