Selman, Labuschagne tons lead Glamorgan's fightback

Glamorgan vs Gloucestershire

Unbeaten centuries by Nicholas Selman and Marnus Labuschagne led Glamorgan's spirited fightback in their Division two encounter against Gloucestershire. Reduced to 241 for 8 in their first innings - at stumps on Day 2 - Glamorgan were bundled out for 250 early on Day 3 to concede a 213-run lead. Asked to follow on, they put on a much better display in their second innings. A 133-run partnership for the opening wicket between Selman and Charlie Hemphrey (58) provided the platform for their comeback. Their footing in the game further improved thanks to Selman and Labuschagne's 226-run association which helped them to stumps with a 146-run lead.

Lancashire vs Northamptonshire

Half-centuries from Dane Vilas and Tom Bailey, followed by a five-wicket haul for Richard Gleeson put Lancashire on course for their second victory of the season. Starting the day at 276 for 6 in reply to Northamptonshire's first-innings total of 230, Vilas and Bailey forged a strong partnership as their 126-run stand for the second wicket helped the hosts post a formidable total of 415, thus taking a 185-run lead. Gleeson extended Lancashire's dominance in the game as he accounted for four of the top five. Reduced to 119 for 6, Luke Wood (66) and Luke Procter (48) put on a fighting partnership but that wasn't enough to prevent Northamptonshire from being bowled out for 200, leaving Lancashire with 16 to get for a facile win.

Middlesex vs Leicestershire

A strong performance with the ball helped Leicestershire remain in the game against Middlesex as they ended the day at 38 for 0 in a chase of 305. Leicestershire were bowled out for 268 early in the day, adding only 11 to their overnight total, as they conceded an 81-run lead. Tom Taylor and Chris Wright then combined to reduce the hosts to 114 for 8 but there was a late fightback from Middlesex as John Simpson (59*) and Tom Helm (46) put on an 85-run partnership. Simpson added 24 more for the final wicket with Ethan Bamber which helped Middlesex set a target in excess of 300.

Worcestershire vs Durham

Useful contributions from Worcestershire's lower order was complemented by Josh Tongue's five-wicket haul as they hosts ended the day by bowling out Durham for less than 200, leaving them with only 81 to get on the final day. Starting the day at 321 for 6 in reply to Durham's 273, Worcestershire managed to extend their total to 390 with 155 runs coming from four of the bottom five combined. Skipper Joe Leach and Tongue then combined to pick up eight wickets between them, striking at regular intervals to bowl Durham out for 197 - Liam Trevaskis's 47 being the highest score.
