The Seattle Sounders have acquired forward Will Bruin from the Houston Dynamo, the teams announced Friday. The Dynamo received both general and targeted allocation money in exchange for the 27-year-old forward. “Will is a known commodity as a consistent goalscorer that we believe can immediately bolster our attack,” Sounders general manager Garth Lagerwey told the team’s official website. “Coupled with , we’re excited about the impact that these two young and proven players can bring next season.” Bruin had spent the entirety of his pro career with Houston, breaking into the team in 2011 and scoring five goals that season. The former Indiana Hoosier scored 10 goals or more in three of his six seasons in Houston, with his career high of 12 coming in 2012. The big forward will likely compete for a starting spot at forward as the MLS Champion Sounders declined the contract option on forward Nelson Valdez.
