PROSPECTIVE AFLW draftees from the SANFLW will have the chance to showcase their talent in two exhibition games to be held between Adelaide and Port Adelaide in 2019.

The matches will see the best players from the SANFLW represent the Crows and Port under the same SANFL alignment as the Next Generation Academies.

Both women's Showdown games will be held as curtain raiser fixtures prior to SANFL matches next season, with Adelaide's team to feature potential draftees from Sturt, Glenelg, North Adelaide and Central District.

Crows general manager of football administration Phil Harper said it was a great chance for players to put their names forward ahead of the 2019 NAB AFLW Draft.

"These games will be a great opportunity for aspiring AFLW players to show their ability against all the best players in the SANFL," he said.

"The club is committed to growing the game in both South Australia and the Northern Territory and helping young girls fulfil their football dreams."

The first match between the Crows and Port will be played as a curtain-raiser to the Adelaide-West Adelaide SANFL clash on June 8.

The corresponding fixture will be hosted by Port Adelaide at Alberton on July 21 at Alberton.
