REAL Madrid are plotting a massive move for Raheem Sterling, while Jose Mourinho has identified a January target.

That and more in another edition of Rumour Mill!

REAL PLOT HUGE DEAL FOR STERLING
Real Madrid are reportedly set to make a massive January approach for Manchester City star Raheem Sterling, according to Express.

Los Blancos are monitoring the 23-year-old’s situation as he stalls on a new deal at the Etihad – allegedly in the hope of securing a £100,000-a-week (A$183,000) increase on his already large wage packet of £175,000-a-week (A$321,000).

Real are thought to be willing to part with roughly £100m (A$183m) to sign the winger, who impressed them in his recent performance against Spain in the UEFA Nations League.

However, they’ll face an uphill battle to sign the English international, with City aware his value is only set to rise.

“I’m happy at Man City at the moment,” he told The Sun.

“But nobody knows what the future brings so one day, definitely, it would be nice to play abroad.

“It would be a great experience.

“Spain’s attractive. Anywhere the weather is nice really!”

CITY WANT AKE
Speaking of City, the Premier League leaders are reportedly eyeing a spend of their own in January, with Bournemouth star Nathan Ake interesting Pep Guardiola.

The centre-back is the target of a potential £40m (A$73m) move according to The Sun, with City ready to take on Manchester United and Spurs for his signature.

Guardiola is thought to believe that the 23-year-old former Chelsea youngster has the potential to become a world class player, and that he would fit straight into the City line-up

Ake recently admitted he was aware of talk surrounding potential interest in him in January.

“At the moment I play at Bournemouth and that is going very well, so I focus on that.”

UNITED TARGET MILENKOVIC
Manchester United are targeting Fiorentina defender Nikola Milenkovic, according to the Daily Star.

After watching the Serbian international in action for his nation, Jose Mourinho is thought to be keen on moving for him in January.

Milenkovic is adept at both right back and centre-back and could help United sure up their stuttering defence.

The 21-year-old is also attracting interest from other Euro heavyweights including Spurs, Chelsea, Arsenal and Juventus – and is rated at around £40m (A$73m) by his club.

GUNNERS EYE LOAN MOVE FOR MALCOM
Malcom was a name thrown around Premier League circles for much of last January’s transfer window, and it appears he could be on lips again this year.

The young gun secured a big money move to Barcelona at the beginning of this season, but after falling behind the likes of Lionel Messi, Ousmane Dembele and Philippe Coutinho in the pecking order he could go out on loan when the window reopens.

And the Daily Star report that Arsenal are keen on bringing the Frenchman to North London.

The 21-year-old has seen just 25 minutes of first team football this season, and his potential availability could see the Gunners rekindle the interest that saw them massively linked a year ago.
