Batista is donning the armor and heading to battle in the “Gears of War” universe.

As revealed on the Xbox Wire Twitter account, The Animal is ready to unleash on his enemies in the armor of series mainstay Marcus Fenix in “Gears 5.”


Xbox has partnered with WWE to create a special countdown to Batista's availability in the game, including behind-the-scenes with Gears 5 and Batista on WWE's UpUpDownDown gaming channel. This all leads up to WWE Clash of Champions Sunday, Sept. 15, streaming live at 7 ET/4 PT on WWE Network, available through a 30-day free subscription on the Xbox app (new subscribers only).

To unlock Batista, simply play any version of the game (including with your Xbox Game Pass membership) beginning Sept. 15. The promotion ends Monday, Oct. 28.
