Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich was warned “not to faint” before he was presented with N’Golo Kante’s agents’ fees.

The Blues beat French giants PSG to the signing of the French international from then-champions Leicester in 2016.

And Gregory Dakad and Abdelkarim Douis will have been pretty happy that the deal went through.

According to a document that was found by Football Leaks and quotes by Mediapart, Dakad pocketed A$11.1m and Douis went away with $7.5m.

When you compare those amounts with the $59m paid for the man many believe is the best defensive midfielder in the world, it’s surprising to say the least.

And Chelsea director and the person who oversees the transfer dealings, Maria Granovskaia, believed it was a good idea to warn Abramovich.

Football Leaks claims to have the email she sent the Blues supremo detailing the transfer.

In it she warns the Russian billionaire “not to faint”.

The agents benefited from Kante not moving to the French league.

French law limits commissions to 10 per cent of the transfer amount, whereas there is no limit currently in England.

SunSport reported how amid all the murky details from the leaks, is one that paints Kante - who once watched himself on Match of the Day after being invited to hang out round a fan’s house - as a shining light.

It is alleged that an offshore company was set up for Kante - who earlier this season consoled an upset Arsenal fan - to pay his image rights into.

This tax haven would, it has been claimed, save him around $1.5m-a-year on his salary.

But now it has emerged that Kante allegedly refused to be part of the scheme, despite Chelsea’s alleged insistence he do so.

It is claimed Kante originally agreed for the scheme to be set up but then refused to sign the documents to complete the deal.

Instead, Kante allegedly asked the club for a “normal salary”.
