The Catalan club may have picked up an astonishing five trophies this year, but there was one team in Europe's top leagues who managed to usurp their points haul

Barcelona were undoubtedly the best team in the world in 2015, but they were not the most dominant; the Catalan club may have won La Liga, and lead the table again this term, but there is one team who managed to pick up more points per game.

Across Europe's top five leagues (England, Spain, Germany, Italy and France), it was in fact Paris Saint-Germain who proved to be the most ruthless, picking up an incredible 2.52 points per game to edge out Barcelona.

Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich were not far behind, while current Premier League leaders Arsenal snuck into the top five; they were the only English side to make the top 10, however, with Borussia Monchengladbach and Fiorentina outperforming the likes of Manchester City in 2015.

Meanwhile, Aston Villa may be languishing at the bottom of the Premier League table, but at least they aren't the worst team in Europe. The Villans' PPG of 0.65 is narrowly ahead of QPR (0.63), while it is Cordoba (0.40) who picked up the fewest top-flight points in 2015 - ultimately leading to their relegation.
