Test hopeful Matthew Renshaw sent a timely reminder to national selectors with a huge triple century in Queensland Premier Cricket on Saturday.

Renshaw broke a Queensland Premier Cricket record for Brisbane side Toombul as he amassed 345 from 273 deliveries in the two-day match against Wynnum/Manly.

The 22-year-old smashed 38 fours and 12 massive sixes in his entertaining knock, before holing out in the final over of the day as Toombul scored an impressive 4-550 at Oxenham Park.

Renshaw's outstanding knock was a record in Queensland Premier Cricket's competition, eclipsing former Bulls opener Wade Townsend's 311 not out during the 2009/10 season for Toombul.

It now means Renshaw has amassed a total of 611 at an average of 203.7 from four hits for Toombul this season, with Saturday's knock the third time the left-hander has reached three figures.

Renshaw's scores for Queensland at Sheffield Shield level have not been as impressive, with the Queensland opener having scored one half-century and just 158 runs at an average just under 20 from eight innings.

Last month Renshaw failed to make the most of a Shield outing against NSW's Test standard bowling lineup as he was dismissed for 21 and 6 just prior to Australia's Test squad announcement for the first Test against India.

He also missed out in Queensland's game against Victoria last week, falling to Chris Tremain for 2 and Scott Boland for 16.

Renshaw has played 11 Tests for Australia, having scored one century and three 50s at an average of 33.47.

However, he hasn't been seen at international level since he played the fourth Test against South Africa in Johannesburg earlier this year during the ill-fated tour against the Proteas.

Renshaw wasn't the only Queensland Shield player to impress on Saturday, with Charlie Hemphrey also reaching three figures for his Premier Cricket side.

Hemphrey hit 123 for Sandgate-Redcliffe in their match against University of Queensland at Trevor Hohns Oval, while young batsman Will Pucovski hit 76 for Melbourne in his first game back from a mental health related break.

In Sydney, David Warner managed 73 as Randwick Petersham wrapped up a first innings victory early in their two-day game against Gordon at Chatswood Oval.

Warner is expected to be in action again for Randwick Petersham on Sunday when they take on UNSW in Sydney's Kingsgrove Sports T20 Cup.

Former Australian quick Brett Lee will also feature when he turns out for Mosman against Sydney at Allan Border Oval, while Steve Smith, Ed Cowan and Usman Qadir are also expected to play.
