Red Bull seek guide on sensors at Malaysian GP
Red Bull team principal Christian Horner says the team will talk with Formula One race director Charlie Whiting before deciding on it use of fuel sensors for this weekend's Malaysian Grand Prix, following on from its disqualification in Australia.
Daniel Ricciardo was disqualified in Melbourne, after finishing second, because Red Bull was found to have exceeded the fuel flow limit of 100 kilograms per hour.
Red Bull blamed the issue on faulty readings from the FIA-approved fuel sensors and appealed the disqualification.
Asked on Thursday what the team would do if there were continued discrepancy between the sensors and team measurements, Horner told Sky Sports that he would consult Whiting "before the race in the event that the situation arises. Then we'll have to make a call in the race."
