Marcus Rashford has revealed that while several clubs were interested in him as a youngster, Manchester United was the only club he was interested in joining.

The 18-year-old has had a meteoric rise in 2016, only making his United debut in February and full England debut in May.

With four goals already to his name this season, Rashford has exclusively spoken to Goal on how no club came close to United for his signature as a youngster.

“There was a connection between Fletcher Moss and United especially, and the man that was the link urged me to go to United,” he said at the launch of FIFA 17. “There were a few teams at the same time who wanted me to train at their teams but for me, United were the only option.”

Mourinho: Rooney will not lose Manchester Unted captain spot

Talking about his impressive debut – where he grabbed two goals in a 5-1 in the Europa League win versus Midtjylland in February – Rashford admitted he had a feeling he was going to score.

“It’s an unbelievable feeling scoring. You hear all the fans cheering and you just have to settle your nerves,” he added.

“You never know what it’s going to be like until the game’s started and when it started I had a feeling I was going to score a goal or help to create a goal.”
