It's been more than a week in Surat for South Africa. Two games rained off, a bit of success and a defeat in a low-scoring encounter is what they have experienced so far. 1-0 down in the international T20s, they need a win in the third encounter in order to ensure they have a chance of winning the series.

Even as they fell barely 11 runs short of India's score in the first match of the series, the issues plaguing them are yet to find a solution. The experienced Mignon du Preez stood out with her half-century on the slow track of the Lalabhai Contractor Stadium. But barring her and Lizelle Lee, the rest in the batting are yet to show confidence, and India's spin trio - Poonam Yadav, Deepti Sharma and Radha Yadav - will continue to be their nemesis.

For India, most of the order batters managed to get starts and would look, but their inability to accelerate in the death would be a key area to improve on. Shefali Vaidya failed to get off the mark on her debut, but she is likely to get more chances to get that and more. Shikha Pandey's continued rise after making a comeback has been good news, which would mean that she will continue to be the leader of the pace attack.

India have a chance of taking an unbeatable lead in the series. However, several spells of rain are expected throughout Sunday. So play might be held hostage.
