A long-serving Liverpool striker has etched his name into Mersyside history.

Meanwhile, a Gunners superstar looked very unimpressed after being substituted against Watford.

Although Everton got the job done against Fulham, their trusted penalty taker (and one of the dead ball specialists in the game) missed for the first time in his Premier League career.

All that and more in another edition of Premier Legaue Extra Time!

STURRIDGE JOINS LIVERPOOL ROYALTY
Sturridg scored his 50th Premier League goal for Liverpool — and in some style!

It was the 29-year-old’s first from outside the area in four-and-a-half years and it saw him become only the seventh Liverpool player to net a half-century of goals in the Premier League.

He joins Robbie Fowler, Steven Gerrard, Michael Owen, Luis Suarez, Fernando Torres and Dirk Kuyt on the illustrious list.

The rapid striker, who enjoyed a stint at Stamford Bridge, has bagged four goals in seven games this season and is averaging a goal every 47 minutes for the Reds.

RAMSEY SNUBS EMERY HANDSHAKE
Unai Emery shrugged off Aaron Ramsey’s hissy fit as Arsenal left it late to clinch their seventh straight win.

Welsh midfielder Ramsey was unimpressed at being subbed for Alex Iwobi after 64 minutes of Saturday’s victory.

He shook his head in disbelief and walked straight past Emery without even looking at him when the manager came across to pat him on the chest.

Ramsey’s annoyance came just days after Arsenal changed their mind about offering him a new A$450,000-a-week deal to keep him at the club beyond next summer.

But Emery insists he does not have a problem with the unsettled midfielder and said: “I like it when a player wants to play every minute.”

TWO GOALSCORING MACHINES SHARE A LAUGH
Daniel Sturridge did not celebrate after scoring a last-gasp stunner against former club Chelsea, but shared a laugh with Gianfranco Zola.

The Reds ace paid respect to his old employers as his jubilant teammates and a fan jumped around him.

But he enjoyed a joke with Chelsea legend and assistant boss Zola at the end of the 1-1 draw.

When asked what he said to Zola, Sturridge told BT Sport: “He’s a legend, I just told him I’ve been watching him.”

SIGURDSSON MISSES HIS FIRST EVER PENALTY
That’s right, Gylfi Sigurdsson has never missed a penalty — until today.

He failed to convert from the penalty spot for the first time in his Premier League career.

The Iceland international was Swansea’s designated penalty taker for years and never missed.

But the midfielder more than made up for his spot kick horrorshow by scoring twice in Everton’s emphatic 3-0 win over Fulham.

WOLVES’ BIZARRE TEAM SELECTION
Wolverhampton Wanderers have looked very consistent all season — and there’s a reason for that.

They’ve named the same starting XI in all seven of their Premier League games this season, becoming the third team in the history of the league to do so after Leeds United in 1992-93 and Aston Villa in 2008-09.

Nuno Espirito Santo’s side went on to beat Southampton 2-0 thanks to goals from Jonathan Castro Otto and Ivan Cavaleiro.

HAMMERS FIRST GOAL DEFINITELY OFFSIDE!
Felipe Anderson produced a stunning finish for his first Premier League goal — but it should not have counted.

The Brazilian playmaker, 25, looked every bit the £41million signing Hammers fans hoped he was as he flicked Pablo Zabaleta’s cross past David de Gea.

But viewers spotted the Argentinian defender had strayed just off-side before playing the ball across goal.

That will not matter to Anderson and his teammates, who dominated the early stages and deserved their lead.
