The International Cricket Council has cleared Liam Plunkett of any wrongdoing during the second ODI between England and Pakistan.

Videoclips of Plunkett scratching the ball surfaced on social media, raising questions about ball-tampering.

But a tweet put out by ICC on Sunday read, "The ICC has confirmed that the match officials are comfortable there was no attempt by Liam Plunkett to change the condition of the ball or any evidence of this on the over-by-over examinations of the ball throughout Saurday's ODI clash in Southampton."

In the high-scoring encounter, England won by a close margin of 12 runs after managing 373.
