Paris Saint-Germain coach Thomas Tuchel has said he is "not completely satisfied" with the club's January transfer window.

PSG sporting director Antero Henrique managed to bring in Leandro Paredes a few days before the window closed but was thwarted in a late push for Everton's Idrissa Gueye. And D.C. United's Luciano Acosta saw his hopes of a move dashed after even undergoing a medical.

"If you are asking if I am happy with Leandro -- yes, I am absolutely happy with his arrival," Tuchel said.

"However, if you are asking if I am completely satisfied overall -- no, I am not."

Tuchel also bemoaned the winter window as a difficult time to get the players he wanted.

"I am not angry about the transfer window," Tuchel said. "January is always super complicated. Who wants to lose or sell a player? Nobody does.

"There were very few possibilities. It is hard to construct a team in the summer, let alone the winter -- the chances are always high that you will end up disappointed in January."

Tuchel's strained relationship with Henrique is well-documented and sources have told ESPN FC former Arsenal coach Arsene Wenger is under serious consideration for a general manager role.

"A lot of things have been written in the press [about Tuchel and Henrique's relationship], but it is not the moment to comment on this," Tuchel said. "You know my wishes for this team since last summer and through this winter.

"I understand that the January transfer window is not easy. Antero and I work closely together during transfer windows, but he has his ideas and I have mine -- I do not think that over the last two days of the transfer window is the best time to buy and to integrate new players.

"That said, I believe in my players. Each transfer brings a change to the dressing room that I must protect -- that is my job."

Tuchel was also asked about wantaway midfielder Adrien Rabiot and the possibility of him being reinstated now the transfer window is closed. Henrique said in December the France international was being sanctioned for his refusal to sign a new contract and Tuchel acknowledged he is under orders to not use the 23-year-old.

"Adrien's situation remains the same," Tuchel said. "I have not asked for him to be reinstated. The situation remains the same as it has been since November -- he is suspended and I understand, as well as accept, the club's stance there. Nothing has changed."

Villefranche-Beaujolais away in the Coupe de France round of 16 next Wednesday is likely to be a better opportunity for Tuchel to reintegrate Rabiot and also hand Paredes a full debut rather than Lyon away in Ligue 1 -- both to be played at Groupama Stadium -- on Sunday.

In some positive news for PSG, goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon said he wants to stay with the club next season, so long as his rival Alphonse Areola doesn't mind.

The 41-year-old Italian joined PSG this season with an option for an extra year. At a news conference on Saturday ahead of a Ligue 1 game at Lyon on Sunday, Buffon said, "If Alphonse and the club want it, I'd stay another season here."

Buffon and Areola have been in competition for the No. 1 jersey, but have shown a lot of mutual respect. Areola, a homegrown player who has broken into the France squad, has spoken about learning from Buffon's vast experience.

Tuchel has not designated a No. 1, and has rotated his goalies. They have played 10 league games each, but Tuchel is likely to pick Buffon for the game at Manchester United in the first leg of the Champions League last 16 on Feb. 12.

PSG has not been past the quarterfinals of the competition since QSI took over in June 2011.
