Australian Red Bull Air Race pilot Matt Hall turned heads as he took on three drivers at the Adelaide Motorsport Festival on Sunday.

Hall defeated David Brabham in the Adelaide-built Brabham BT62 and Porsche’s Jim Richards, but came off second best in his race against Leyton House Formula 1 driver Ivan Capelli.

The Brabham supercar is being built just 1km from the former Holden plant, with the first of the cars now sold for $1.8 million.

Adelaide Motorsport Festival spokesman Noel Probert said the event was “spectacular”.

The event also included a Peak Hour of Power parade, with 21 racecars, including Formula 1 beasts and a Ferrari dubbed the most valuable 21st century car ever sold at auction heading through Adelaide’s CBD on Friday.
