Wicketkeeper-batter Sushma Verma was named in India's 16-member ODI squad - led by Mithali Raj - for their upcoming tour of West Indies in November. India are set to play three ODIs, followed by five T20Is across the Caribbean Islands starting from November 1.

While the 26-year-old Verma is the only addition to the ODI squad that is hosting South Africa at home, the T20I squad led by Harmanpreet Kaur, and currently leading South Africa 1-0 in the five-match series, has remained unchanged.

Due to overlapping schedules, this tour could also affect the prospects of having an Indian presence at the WBBL, which starts from October 18.

India will kickstart the tour with the ODI series which commences from November 1 in Antigua, followed by the five T20Is across St Lucia and Guyana.
