The Patriots running-back-by-committee group is expected to miss two members in Saturday's divisional-round matchup with the Titans.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that Rex Burkhead and Mike Gillislee are not expected to play Saturday. Although both backs practiced in a limited capacity Thursday, they are listed as questionable on the injury report.

Burkhead, who injured his knee during the Dec. 17 game against the Steelers and hasn't played since, has 518 yards from scrimmage and eight TDs this season. Gillislee, who is second on the Patriots with 383 rushing yards, has been dealing with a knee injury he suffered Dec. 24 against the Bills.

However, there is some good news for the Patriots. ESPN reports that running back James White, who is fourth on the team with 56 receptions, is expected to play. An ankle injury sidelined him the past two games. On a related note on the passing game, wide receiver Chris Hogan is expected to play for the first time since early December. He had been dealing with a shoulder issue.

In the wake of all the recent injuries, Dion Lewis has stepped up as the workhorse of the Patriots backfield. He averaged more than 140 total yards in the Pats' last two regular season games, with four touchdowns.
