THE dreaded nudie run is usually reserved for players who have failed to score a try during the season.

That’s what makes Trent Merrin’s all the more bewildering.

During an NRL finals promotion shoot for Fox League, the Penrith forward decided to get his kit off — even though he’s scored two tries in 2018 (Round 2 and 24).

Captured by Panthers club media, Merrin runs through the set and takes a kick before running back to his teammates.

Round 25 was the last chance for a host of players to cross the tryline before their seasons ended and a couple were lucky enough to do so.

Shaun Fensom (North Queensland), Jeremy Latimore (St George Illawarra) and Michael Lichaa (Canterbury) all scored in the final regular round.
