Pakistan captain Imad Wasim was fined 20 per cent of his match fee for maintaining a slow over-rate against Australia in the fourth ODI on Friday (March 29).

Pakistan were found one over short of their target by match referee Jeff Crowe after time allowances were taken into consideration in Dubai in accordance with Article 2.22 of the ICC Code of Conduct for Players and Player Support Personnel. The home team copped a 10 per cent fine while the stand-in skipper Wasim received double the fine.

In the likelihood that Pakistan commit another minor over-rate offence in the 50-over format within the next 12 months with Wasim as skipper, he will face suspension.

Pakistan lost the fourth ODI by six runs, conceding the five-match series 4-0 to Australia, with the fifth and final match to be played on Sunday (March 31) at the same venue.
