IT’S game on for the NRL women’s premiership.

The first round is done and was won by the Warriors and the Broncos.

The second round is also over with the Broncos and Dragons emerging the victors.

Now attention switches to Sydney on Saturday where the Roosters will take on the Dragons in the Sydney derby following Friday’s match between the Broncos and Warriors.

NRL WOMEN’S PREMIERSHIP FAST FACTS
#For the inaugural competition only four clubs will complete for the sports newest trophy — the St George Illawarra Dragons, Sydney Roosters, Brisbane Broncos and New Zealand Warriors.

#Each of these clubs has a squad of 22. A team of 21 will be named on Tuesday before games. That will be cut to 19 24 hours before kickoff with the final 17 confirmed one hour before kickoff.

#The women’s game is similar to the men’s in that there are two referees and the bunker; it has the same judiciary process; there is the shot; and HIAs.

#Games are different in there are 30-minute halves.

#There are 10 interchanges allowed in regular time, plus two additional in golden point.

#It is a 40/30 kick, rather than a 40/20.

#The games will be played as double-headers during the men’s NRL finals series.

#The inaugural competition will comprise three rounds with a season decider to be played on September 30 in the lead-up the men’s NRL grand final at ANZ Stadium in Sydney.
