Hamburg wonderkid Jann-Fiete Arp is not on his way to Chelsea just yet, according to his agent Jurgen Milewski.

Reports have claimed that Chelsea had beaten off fellow Premier League giants Manchester City and Arsenal for the 17-year-old striker’s signature.

However, Milewski has denied rumours a move away from current club Hamburg is already done, telling Bild: “This story has nothing in it.”

Hamburg coach Markus Gisdol similarly rubbished those reports, claiming the media write “some adventurous things”.

One of only four players born after 2000 currently playing in the Bundesliga, Arp earned a promotion to the first team earlier this season after scoring seven goals in three youth-team appearances.

Since stepping up from the youth ranks, the teenager has repaid the faith, scoring twice in five Bundesliga matches.

With only 18 months left to run on his current deal, Hamburg reportedly may look to cash in on their rising star if he proves reluctant to extend his contract.

Hamburg chairman Heribert Bruchhagen ruled out this possibility when asked by Bild earlier in the season, declaring: “He will stay with us.

“His advisor Jurgen Milewski has promised me and sporting director Jens Todt. He will develop with us.”
