After 12 hours, five different cars still had a shot at it at Mount Panorama.

An incredible end to what is always an incredible race ... The Bathurst 12 Hours delivers again. Bentley, Audi, Nissan, Aston, and Mercedes all had a shot at it in the closing laps, but it was 'Godzilla' taking the checkered flag.

This is the first time since 1992 that Nissan have won on the mountain, doing so today with Florian Strauss, Katsumasa Chiyo, Wolfgang Reip.

A restart to remember

Chiyo shot around the No. 15 Phoenix Racing Audi on the final restart with just two laps left in this 12 hour endurance race, completing the pass before Hell corner. Without hesiation, he locked onto the Bentley and continued his assault, quickly disposing of the then-race leader.

The best of the rest

As the Nissan bolted away, the fight was on for second. The No. 10 Bentley fell from second to fourth in the final corner as the Audi and the No. 97 Craft-Bamboo Aston muscled their way by. The No. 36 Erebus Mercedes rounded out the top five.

Other class winners

The race was interrupted by a record 20 cautions with the final coming for the No. 4 Porsche, which was in contention for the Class B victory, going to No. 47 Supabarn Supermarkets Porsche 911 in the end (16th overall). Class C was won by the popular Donut King Lotus, crossing the line 24th overall.

The No. 23 Bruce Lynton BMW held on to earn the victory in Class D, 27th int he overall classification. The non-production class was won by the No. 93 MARC Ford Focus, crossing the stripe in 15th place overall.
