RICHMOND midfielder Nick Vlastuin is facing a suspension for his swinging elbow on Sydney’s Luke Parker in a fiery contest at Etihad Stadium the Tigers won by 26 points.

Vlastuin is almost certain to be cited by the match review officer for the third-quarter incident that saw him collect Parker in the face.

Ex-Richmond forward Nathan said Vlastuin was in trouble.

“That’s a three-weeker,” Brown said on Triple M.

“Elbowed him fair and square in the eye ... that’s a minimum three weeks.”

Parker received a 50m penalty and kicked the goal, then gave Vlastuin a serve afterwards.

Former MRP member panel Daniel Harford said he expected Vlastuin to be hit with a one-game ban.

“In all probability, Nick Vlastuin will be out for a week. Intentional, low impact, high contact. Michael Christian will be keen to see that stuff out of the game,” Harford said on 3AW.

Richmond coach Damien Hardwick said he didn’t see the incident.

“Look, it’s one of those things. People will deal with that tomorrow, I think. We’ll get a

better understanding then,” Hardwick said.

Sydney star Lance Franklin will also come under scrutiny for striking Tigers defender Alex Rance.

Franklin was pinned to the ground by Rance before the forward made forceful contact to Rance’s neck/throat area with an open hand.

There was plenty of niggle between the pair during the night. Franklin finished with four goals, which included one on three-quarter time siren after Rance ran over the mark and gave away a 50m penalty.
