A viral video of boom Fremantle recruit Jesse Hogan allegedly drunk that is circulating on social media is three years old, according to the club.

A spokesman for the Dockers told The West Australian the club understood the video, which shows a shaky Hogan with his pants around his ankles and wearing a Santa top, was recorded in 2016.

The gun forward uses profanity when telling the person recording the video: “Don’t put that on your (Snapchat) story”.

The 24-year-old was yesterday suspended indefinitely by Fremantle’s hierarchy for missing training on Sunday after a drinking session the previous night.

He had been watching a practice match at East Fremantle Oval earlier that afternoon.

Hogan played in Fremantle’s two JLT Community Series matches during the pre-season after being recruited back home to WA from Melbourne, where he booted 152 goals in 71 games.

The Dockers have said Hogan is suffering from clinical anxiety which led to his poor decision around alcohol at the weekend.

One-in-eight, or 13.3%, of Australian men aged 16 to 85 have experienced an anxiety and/or affective disorder in the past 12 months.
