Ryan Blaney became the third NASCAR driver in as many weeks to win a pole this season.
Blaney posted the fastest lap in Friday's final round of qualifying with a speed of 191.49 mph to claim the front spot for Sunday's Pennzoil 400 presented by Jiffy Lube.

"The sun went down and the tires gained grip," Blaney told Fox Sports. "Our team does such a good job of getting us better each round. The wind was crazy, but I'm really proud of everybody on the Penske team." Kevin Harvick, who won last week in Atlanta, will join Blaney on the front row as Kurt Busch, Martin Truex Jr., and Kyle Larson round out the top 5. Truex won last year's race in Las Vegas.

Paul Menard, who was fastest in the first round of qualifying with a speed of 190.181 mph, qualified 12th.
Kyle Busch, one of the favorites to win Sunday, did not advance to the final round of qualifying and will start 13th.
Jimmie Johnson, who has a record four wins at Las Vegas, will begin Sunday's race the 14th spot.
