The Marlins' fire sale continues.

The latest player on the move is outfielder Christian Yelich, who was traded to the Brewers, The Athletic first reported. The teams later announced the trade that includes 23-year-old outfielder Lewis Brinson as one of the players sent to Miami in return for Yelich. Brinson is a promising 23-year-old outfielder who had 47 at-bats in 21 games last year as a late-season call-up.

Yelich was a Gold Glove winner in 2014 and won a Silver Slugger in 2016. He had a slash line of .282/.369/.439 last year with 18 home runs and 81 RBIs. He joins a crowded outfield in Milwaukee with Ryan Braun in left, Keon Broxton in center and Domingo Santana in right field. The Brewers may now try to move one of those players to bolster their starting pitching rotation. The Brewers could still pursue former Royals outfielder Lorenzo Cain, who made his MLB debut with the Milwaukee in 2010.

The Marlins have jettisoned their entire starting outfield from last season with Giancarlo Stanton dealt to the Yankees and Marcell Ozuna now with the Cardinals. Second baseman Dee Gordon was traded to the Mariners in December.

Yelich will first face his now-former team April 19 when the Marlins begin a four-game series at Miller Park.
