Teams have been scrambling for relief pitchers this offseason, and the Rockies jumped on one of their main targets Tuesday.

According to ESPN.com, the Rockies agreed to sign Bryan Shaw to a three-year deal worth nearly $9 million a season.

Shaw, 30, has spent his last five seasons with the Indians, helping them reach the 2016 World Series. He is 23-28 lifetime with a 3.13 ERA, 11 saves and 398 strikeouts.

Improving the bullpen promises to be one of the Rockies' main focuses this offseason, as they try to strengthen their roster for postseason success. Currently without a closer, the Rockies could try to bring back free agent Greg Holland after he recorded 41 saves for them last season
