“Terrence Phillips has been suspended indefinitely from the Mizzou Men’s Basketball program for a violation of team policy," the statement said, via rivals.com. "Phillips’ future status with the program will be determined in coordination with campus and department leadership.”

Phillips is averaging just 2.5 points and 1.9 assists per game this season, but the junior's suspension leaves Missouri with just one scholarship point guard heading into Saturday's game against Mississippi State.

Missouri has had a tumultuous season mired by injuries and transfers. Highly-touted freshman Michael Porter Jr. was lost for the season early, and freshman point guard Blake Harris announced his plan to transfer in January.

Missouri (13-7, 3-4) has lost three of its last four games.
