THE Milwaukee Bucks have found their new head coach.

According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, Milwaukee have agreed to a four-year deal in principle with former Atlanta Hawks boss Mike Budenholzer.

Per Wojnarowski’s report, the Bucks negotiated a deal with Budenholzer’s representatives on Wednesday, “hours after a breakfast meeting with Milwaukee’s All-Star forward Giannis Antetokounmpo and teammate Khris Middleton, league sources said.”

San Antonio Spurs assistant Ettore Messina was the other finalist for the role.

Budenholzer will take over after five seasons in Atlanta; where he reached the Eastern Conference Playoffs four times, and won Coach of the Year in 2015.

The 48-year-old is Milwaukee’s third head coach in less than six months, taking over from Joe Prunty, who was appointed interim coach after Jason Kidd was fired in late January.

With Antetokounmpo leading a young, but super-talented team; Bucks fans will be hoping Budenholzer can get the best out of a roster that has often been misused.
